Sun City Center is built for active living. From pickleball to water aerobics to yoga, here's a guide to the fitness options available right in your backyard.

One of the biggest draws of Sun City Center is the sheer variety of ways to stay active. Whether you're a lifelong athlete or just getting started, there's something here for every fitness level.

Pickleball is the community's fastest-growing sport. Courts are available at the Community Center and Kings Point, with organized play most mornings. Beginners are always welcome — experienced players love to teach.

The indoor and outdoor pools offer lap swimming, water aerobics, and water volleyball. Water exercise is especially popular for those with joint concerns — it's low-impact but highly effective.

Fitness classes at the Community Center include yoga, tai chi, Zumba, and strength training. Most are free or low-cost with your community membership. Check the monthly activity calendar for schedules.

Walking and cycling are easy thanks to SCC's flat terrain and extensive path network. The morning walking groups that meet at Freedom Plaza are a great way to combine exercise with socializing.
